Clutch Markets' Stonk Launcher just stealth dropped its first ever special project, and it was built by a legendary ApeChain builder.

Late Tuesday evening, Clutch Markets quietly updated its StonkBroker website, adding a prelaunch incubator project dubbed DERP, short for Decentralized Entropy from Recycled Proofs.

“Derp is a new technology utilizing proof of work mining on Robinhood Chain to create entropy (VRNG),” Clutch Markets wrote in the project’s bio. “The more entropy users mine and requesters buy, the more the merchant pays for your DERP.”

Derp was created by prolific ApeChain builder and Not A Punks Cult founder UncleMac. It's also linked to a website called The StonkPit, where users are invited to "Clock in, let them grind, and clock out to collect."

According to UncleMac, DERP is designed to bring real proof of work mining and random number generating to Robinhood Chain.

“A fixed-supply token extracted by browser proof-of-work, two fee-backed floors, and a public market for work-backed randomness,” he wrote in a lengthy X article. “DERP means Decentralised Entropy from Recycled Proofs. It is not the name of the website. StonkPit is the place. DERP is what comes out...."StonkPit is the machine. DERP is what the machine extracts. The Ticker is what the work leaves behind. The Conductor sells that work as public entropy. The merchants turn fees into redemption floors. The locked LP and Bones turn usage back into future mining."

Tonight Derp and the StonkPit has not offically opened for business yet, but the token is trading at a market cap of $1.5 million USD, according to OpenSea data.

The Gazette is working to find out more about Derp and will bring you a full report soon. Stay tuned for updates!
