WIZARDING WEEKEND: Zards Founder Promises More Magic Ahead After Adam Weitsman’s First ApeChain NFT Purchase Casts A Spell And Sends The Floor Flying

It was a wizarding weekend around the swamp after notable NFT collector and HV-MTL owner Adam Weitsman purchased the most magical Zard as his first ApeChain NFT, casting a spell on the project that sent its floor straight up!

Amid Weitsman’s week of high end NFT purchases ranging from the 1/1 Good Vibe Club’s VibeFoot to a 2019 era XCOPY piece titled The State of Us, the collector bridged to ApeChain and officially became a wizard, picking up the rarest Zard in the collection.

 

“Tonight I wanted to try to support some nice small collections with great communities that might not get as much exposure as others,” Weitsman tweeted. “Added @ZardsNFT #99 sorcerer of shadows….. First  @apecoin NFT purchase which was nice !”

 

 

After Weitsman’s purchase, Zards founder Seb, who lives in England, told the paper that he was awoken to the news of the acquisition at 3 A.M. his time, as his phone blew up with notifications and congratulatory messages from fellow mystical Zards members.

“Absolutely thrilled to have someone like Adam in our project,” he told the paper. “I’ve respected the hell out of that guy for quite some time. The way he moves in the space, respectfully and kindly, whilst giving light to a lot of projects that might fly under the radar. To be his first AoeChain NFT was a real honor, and he picked the rarest Zard in the entire collection, too!”

 

As the Gazette previously reported, Zards is one of ApeChain’s oldest projects, building both on-chain and IRL through its soft staking wizard training school, pixelated Otherside avatars, art upgrade activations, and accompanying lore books that fans can order on Amazon.

Since Weitsman’s purchase, the Zards floor has been levitating like magic, climbing from 170 $Ape to 337 $Ape, with just 56 listed at the time of this article’s publication.

 

Looking ahead, Seb told the Gazette that he has big plans for Zards, including the launch of its upcoming Zards battle card game, a second Zards book, and the $ZARDSTR Strategy Token.

“We have even more planned for 2026, and cannot wait to show you the rest of what's in store for Zards,” Seb wrote in a new Janauary update article on X.
