Long before NFTs and crypto entered the picture, RafaSimon was traveling the world creating cinematic films and developing an eye for the perfect shot. Years later, that passion has landed him a full time role creating content for billionaire entrepreneur and prolific NFT collector Adam Weitsman.

On Monday, the HV-MTL owner announced that award winning photographer and video creator RafaSimon would officially be joining his team to produce content centered around the NFT projects he supports!

“Really thankful and honored to have someone as talented and brilliant as  @rafalors joining me next week full time,” Weitsman wrote. “Our one goal is to produce epic content to increase the community experience and visibility for all the NFT projects I support and respect. We are going to have a lot of fun with this!”

While you may not immediately recognize RafaSimon's name, there's a good chance you've already seen his work.

Over the past several years, RafaSimon has created cinematic videos for a number of NFT projects, beginning with Chimpers.

“Chimpers were the first ones who really put their trust in me, I made videos for them and they loved it. My biggest was the Chimpers Kawaii video at 108K views. After that came Adam's Diamond Fleece video, and that's how I got to know Adam.”

Since then, RafaSimon has gone on to create content for HV-MTL, Meebits, and Weitsman himself. Most recently, he produced Weitsman's recent Godzilla inspired post starring the collector's iconic Blue Beam Ape alongside his recently acquired Creepz.

“It feels honestly surreal,” RafaSimon told the Gazette after the hire. “Chimpers and Adam gave me real creative room. Adam will say "make something epic" and trust me to figure out what that means. The latest one is a kaiju-style short with Creepz and his BAYC, full orchestral score and everything. The community really loves it and getting to build an ongoing saga is every animator's dream.”

The Gazette will continue to follow RafaSimon as he continues to capture the absolute cinema that is the NFT space!
