Yuga Labs' Chief Gaming Officer Teased What Happens When The Rift Opens After Forge Season 3
As HV-MTL Holders continue to build their HVs Homes during the Forge’s first season, Yuga Labs’ Chief Gaming Officer teased what happens when the rift opens after the game’s third season.
Things have been anything but boring around the swamp as HV-MTL Holders and their Mechs have been building their homes and making their way up the HV-MTL leaderboard.
As players forge ahead and get their homes’ aesthetics just right, Yuga Labs’ CGO, Spencer Tucker, gave players some new information about what happens to the game’s mechanics when the rift opens following season three.
“The rift isn’t just a cool dungeon crawler, it’s an augmentation to the leaderboard system,” Tucker tweeted last night. “Enjoy the current social meta while you can, when the rift opens, LB points aren’t just social voting.”
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the HV-MTL Forge game is broken down into six seasons that last three weeks each, according to the Forge's gaming guide.
Based on Tucker’s tweet last night, this means that players will experience the “current social meta” for the next nine weeks or until roughly August 31st.
This change in the game’s voting mechanics isn’t the only alpha that Tucker has dropped about the Forge post Rift.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Tucker informed players in a Twitter Space with the BAYC Community Council earlier this week that there will be combat in the rift and that OG Collection holders (BAYC, MAYC, BAKC) will receive 'something' during that time.
Tucker has been tweeting a ton of information about the Forge. The Bored Ape Gazette is working to cover it all. Stay tuned for updates!
