Yuga Labs' Soon To Be CEO Daniel Alegre Wished Gordon Goner The Best After His Health Announcement

After Gordon Goner announced that he would be taking a leave of absence from Yuga Labs to focus on his health, Yuga Labs’ soon to be CEO addressed the community and wished Goner the best.

On Saturday, Bored Ape Yacht Club Co-Founder Gordon Goner, whose real name is Wylie Aronow, took to Twitter and informed the community that he has congestive heart failure and that he will be taking a leave of absence from Yuga Labs to focus on his health.

“Some heavy news: a few days ago I was told by my doctor I have congestive heart failure, Goner tweeted. “Symptoms started last year out of the blue and I put off seeking help (like an idiot) so I could keep working. But after testing, my doctor called and asked me to radically change my life.”

One of the radical changes that Goner must make to his life is taking a leave of absence form the company he co-created to focus on getting better.

Following Goner’s tweet, Yuga Labs’ soon to be CEO Daniel Alegre took to Twitter and congratulated Goner on everything he has built and expressed his excitement to be in the swamp full time later this year.

I am honored to have the opportunity to join the Yuga Family soon and grateful to Wylie for his leadership, vision and tireless commitment to the foundational principles that have served the community so well,” Alegre tweeted. “Your health is an obvious priority Wylie. Wishing you all the best as you seek the proper care you need amigo!”

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Goner and his health. Stay tuned for updates.
