101 Bored Apes Sell At Sotheby's For $ 24,393,000 USD
The Sotheby’s Bored Ape Yacht Club auctions ended this morning and the apes and dogs both beat or met the auction house’s expectations.
Sotheby’s “Ape In!” auctions ended Thursday morning with the 101 Bored Ape and the 101 Bored Ape Kennel Club lots selling for $24,393,000 and $1,835,000 respectively. The final hammer prices on each of these lots were higher than the auction house expected, according to their pre-auction estimations.
The Bored Ape Yacht Club will be hosting a post auction celebration at the BAYC Riverboat in the Decentraland Metaverse tonight to celebrate the apes first auction.
“Come on down to the BAYC's Riverboat and celebrate the end of Sotheby's epic "Ape In" auction,” the BAYC wrote on their Dencentraland events page. “Hang with fellow apes, play blackjack and roulette, and listen to jams by the one and only Spottie Wifi (twitter.com/SpottieWifi).”
The Event will take place from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. UTC time; which is 5:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. EST.
