A Gold Fur Bored Ape Sold For A Record Setting 740 Eth. Find Out The Full Story Here:

These brothers just set a new record high sale after selling a gold ape they purchased last month.

Bored Ape Yacht Club members Andy and James Booth sold Bored Ape #3749 for 740 Eth or 2,886,000 USD. “Both myself and @domain (James) had been negotiating the sale of Ape #3749 ever since the previous gold ape sold by our real life friends @Robistraveling and @ApexMoon1 (also brothers).”

Andy told the Bored Ape Gazette that a bunch of buyers inquired about Bored Ape #3749 but Sebastien from the Sandbox made the brothers’ and offer they had to accept.

“A flurry of buyers came to the fore and reached out to the gold Discord group,” Andy said. “But it was Sebastien who stepped up. Several offers were on the table but Sebastien made a fair enough offer that we couldn't refuse, especially given the meteoric rise of ETH.”

Sebastien’s offer was a record setting 740 ETH. This offer was nearly double what the Booth Brothers’ purchased Bored Ape #3749 for last month on August 11.

Andy told the Bored Ape Gazette that he couldn’t think of a better new home for Bored Ape #3749 and looks forward to what the Sandbox does in the future. “Sandbox are a great buyer for this and the fact that this ape could actually feature in the game is really exciting,” he said. “Definitely the pinnacle as far as apes go and for me, the Gold laser-eyed captain was one of the collection's Holy Grails.”

Bored Ape #3749 is a six trait gold fur ape with a sea captains hat, a black t-shirt and of course laser eyes. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #3749 is the 27th rarest ape, according to Rarity Tools.

After the sale, Andy told the gazette that he and his brother will continue to be active members of the BAYC community and will continue to close big deals at the BAYC.

“Both myself and @domain are far from done in the BAYC,” he said. “We are deal makers and like to see liquidity in the market, sales inject a new lease of life and renewed energy into the project. I think it's necessary for the flow. Record-breaking sales kind of help too. This is just the beginning and we will now continue the hunt for under-valued Bored Apes.”

As for the Sandbox, they are quickly becoming one of the largest holders of bored apes. After the purchase of Bored Ape #3749, the company now has 31 bored apes worth at least 2,337.979 Eth or $9,118,000 USD, according to Evaluate. Market.
