A MURDER OF MOONBIRDS: HV-MTL Owner Adam Weitsman Announces His Plan To Purchase 200 Moonbirds!

As the crypto market gets clipped, HV-MTL owner and NFT enthusiast Adam Weitsman announced plans to put together a massive murder of Moonbirds, making it clear he’s more birb-ish than ever.

The old adage birds of a feather flock together holds true once again, as Weitsman and Spencer line up another major deal that will see Weitsman add 200 Moonbirds to his collection.

“You know when @spencer drives 4 hours last night in the dark to visit you in brutal cold Binghamton NY for an hour at dinner to explain his vision for the future of  @moonbirds then turns right back around and drives straight back home another 4 hours you know he’s very serious about his community and project,” Weitsman wrote. “Made a large investment last night to help play my part and show my full support and confidence to it. Very excited to add 200 Moonbirds to my collection and become one of the largest holders. The future looks very bright!”

Tonight, it’s still unclear when or how Weitsman will acquire all of these Birds. What is clear, however, is that he’s been a believer in Spencer and everything he’s building with Moonbirds ever since the brand was acquired from Yuga Labs last summer.

“I believe in  @spencer ……..  @moonbirds,” he tweeted in July 2025 along with a photo of his Glitch red Moonbird, which is the rarest bird in the flock, according to OpenSea.

As the Gazette previously reported, this marks the second major deal between Weitsman and Spencer in recent days. Over the weekend, Weitsman acquired 48 Pudgy Penguins, 48 Lil Pudgys, and 48 Rods, formerly known as Three Arrows Capital’s collection, from Spencer in an over the counter deal.

“Happy to have purchased a pretty large collection of @pudgypenguins today to show my support in a pretty rough market weekend,” Weitsman tweeted. “My love for this epic collection ( and the entire NFT space) no different at $1300 ETH or $4000 ETH.”

These moves, along with Weitsman’s recent sweeps across the space, are all part of his larger mission to support builders and push NFTs forward.

“My sole purpose being in this space is to unite all the different amazing NFT communities to work together to let the world know about this legendary art form that we all love and appreciate so much,” Weitsman said.

The Gazette will continue to follow Weitsman and will keep you posted as he begins adding Moonbirds to his collection. Stay tuned for updates.
