A Mystery Buyer Purchased A Gold Fur Bored Ape For $1.2M USD. Here's What We Know So Far:

Thursday was bananas around the Bored Ape Yacht Club as a mystery buyer purchased a gold fur Bored Ape for $1.2 million USD.

The rumors of the BAYC and the boarder NFT markets demise seem to be greatly exaggerated as a mystery buyer purchased Bored Ape #1734 for 600 Eth or $1,197,000 USD from longtime BAYC member JFX.

"Sadly had to let go of my gold ape today," JFX tweeted after the sale. "I feel sick but Im happy It has a new home."

Bored Ape #1734 is a five-trait solid gold fur primate with a bored cigarette mouth and a faux hawk. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #1734 is the 208th most bored Bored Ape, according to Rarity Tools.

At the time of this article’s publication, we do not know who the mystery buyer is. But we do know that they purchased Bored Ape #1734 via BAYC member EB7’s digital asset brokerage firm, The OTC Network.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, EB7 and and the OTC Network have been involved in almost every major deal around the swamp.

At the time of this article’s publication, it is unclear who purchased Bored Ape #1734 but EB7 has tweeted that this mysterious buyer will reveal themself eventually.

“I cannot,” EB7 tweeted when asked who bought the golden primate. “But it will be revealed at some point.”
