Forget sweater weather, it’s hoodie season in the NFT space after Adam Weitsman added a comfy looking CryptoPunk to his plush portfolio!

On Wednesday, Weitsman acquired CryptoPunk #424 in an over-the-counter deal with fellow NFT collector BackSeats.Eth that was brokered by Canon Punks Founder Eli Scheinman.

CryptoPunk #424 is a three attribute male Punk featuring muttonchops, regular shades, and a black hoodie!

“From the first moment I joined web3, the Punks community and  @matthall2000 @pents90 have warmly welcomed me. I have always loved Hoodie Punks and I'm very grateful today to collect Punk #424. This Punk will be joining my long-term collection after being held by an amazing collector @backseats_eth for over 9 years. Thank you to @eli_schein for the support on this acquisition. See you all at NFT NYC tomorrow !”

Following Weitsman’s pickup, BackSeats took to the timeline and called the sale the end of an era for him.

“This punk has been my identity for a very long time,” he tweeted. “I'm not going anywhere and I'll be a Punk again soon. Grateful to  @matthall2000 and  @pents90 for these Punks as gifts and for inspiring so much of what I do in this space. Grateful to @AdamWeitsman for giving it a good home and @eli_schein for helping make it happen.”

With today’s pickup, Weitsman now holds two CryptoPunks in his top notch NFT collection.

As the Gazette previously reported, Weitsman first joined the CryptoPunks community back in March 2025 when he purchased CryptoPunk #638 for 76 Eth or roughly $161,000 USD!

The Gazette will continue to follow Weitsman as he adds more grails to his collection from across the NFT space. Stay tuned for updates!

rhythm games have a distinct skill curve: mastery takes a lot of time and effort, even if the rules are simple to understand. To begin playing a simple tune, beginners simply need basic inputs.
