A SPIRITED START TO THE NEW YEAR: HV-MTL Owner Adam Weitsman Adds A Spirit Azuki To His NFT Collection

The spirit of Web3 and NFTs is alive and well heading into 2026 as HV-MTL owner Adam Weitsman adds a Spirit Azuki to his top tier collection.

The new year got off to a spirited start on Wednesday after Weitsman acquired Azuki #4357 from popular trader and Web3 personality MINHxDYNASTY in an over the counter deal that appears to total at least 13.5 ETH, or roughly $40,000 USD, according to OpenSea data.

 

“Thank you  @MINHxDYNASTY for trusting me tonight with your  @Azuki Spirit,” Weitsman wrote. “Will always show it the upmost respect like you have these past years. You’re a legend for sure and I’m honored to be a small part of the story.. Thank you always @eli_schein for the introduction and guidance and  @nichoviss.”for you helping me brother. Good start to 2026.”

 

 

After the acquisition, Azukis across the timeline congratulated Weitsman on the pickup while applauding MINHxDYNASTY for onboarding one of the space’s most prominent collectors into The Garden.

 

“I actually really like the way @MINHxDYNASTY moved his Azuki Spirit,” MacCurated said. “He curated a very wealthy and well known collector [ @AdamWeitsman ] and onboarded him into a top tier web3 whale group. If you ever have or want to sell rare assets, this is how you do it.”

 

For MINHxDYNASTY, selling his Spirit NFT to Weitsman was a no brainer, and he says the JPEG couldn’t have gone to a better home.

“I met Adam a few months ago at a dinner in Vegas,” he tweeted. “From hearing the stories to seeing it firsthand, he’s one of the most down-to-earth humans I’ve ever met. Very kind and cares a lot about the happiness of his inner child. Also a fun ass mf who understands how to have both infinite success, and true joy in the simple things. I love this Azuki Spirit, and I am honored for it to go to a home, and a top collector, like Adam. He’s a steward of our space, and it’s a blessing that this is the first piece in his collection. The Garden will always be my home, where I took the red bean 3 years and that will never change. IKZ.”

 

 

With this move, Weitsman’s NFT collection now includes five of the 13 Mega Mutant Apes, four Bored Apes, an additional Mutant Ape, over 230 Meebits, several Mega Kodas and Kodas, 6,474 Otherdeeds, three Bored Ape Kennel Club pups, the Golden Key from Dookey Dash, a CryptoPunk, a Moonbird, a Pudgy Penguin, and his newly acquired Azuki!

 

Beyond his JPEG portfolio, Weitsman is also the owner of the HV-MTL project, which he and his partner Gabe are currently rebooting, and he is one of the largest ApeCoin holders in the world.

 

As the Gazette previously reported, these moves reflect Weitsman’s desire to be a “beacon of hope” in the space and to help make Web3, and particularly the Otherside, a place that inspires the next generation.

“I’ve got some ideas about kids playing this all over the world,” he told NowMedia’s Matt Medved back in August 2025. “This is a tough world. A place that kids can dream in. They can dream that this is their house and this is their land…I’d love to be able to have an advisor for every 30 Otherdeeds who would teach them how to build. Teach them how to trade. Teach them how to barter.”
