Adidas is about to drop its first NFT tomorrow and Bored Ape Yacht Club members will have early access!
Prepare to go Into the Metaverse, Adidas Originals tweeted earlier today. “Our collaborative NFT drop with @gmoneyNFT, @punkscomic and @BoredApeYC launches tomorrow, December 17.”
Adidas’ NFT titled “Into The Metaverse“ will have a total supply of 30,000 NFTs and will cost .2 eth or roughly $800 USD.
20,000 of these will be available for Bored Apes and Mutant Apes, along with Pixel Vault and GMoney holders, during the early access period tomorrow, December 17th.
At the time of this article publication, Adidas has NOT stated when the drop will take place. But the company has said it will provide further details as it gets closer to the drop time.
Following the early access periods, Adidas will then do a general release period where anyone can mint the Into The Metaverse token.
While not much is known about the drop mechanics, or when the drop will be, Adidas has released some information regarding what the company’s genesis NFT entails.
Owning an Into The Metaverse will give holders digital benefits such as “Open Metaverse virtual land experiences co-created with the community, throughout 2022 and beyond.”
Along with the digital component, the Into The Metaverse will also get holders several physical items.
“Exclusive adidas Originals, gmoney, Bored Ape Yacht Club and PUNKS Comic Physical merchandise, available to claim in 2022 at no additional cost,” Adidas wrote on its website. “Gear up for the iconic adicolor Firebird tracksuit (as seen on Indigo Herz and Courtney), a graphic hoodie as featured in PUNKS Comic #2), and gmoney’s classic orange beanie.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the BAYC, Punks Comic and Gmoney all teased a collab with Adidas on November 28th, posting a 3D model of Bored Ape #8874, AKA Indigo Herz rocking an Adidas tracksuit with the Adidas logo on the ape’s right and the BAYC, Punks Comic and GMoney logos on the left.
