ALPHA KIT COMING SOON: Yuga Labs Announce That It Will Invite 20 More Builders To Create On Otherside Using Its Alpha ODK Next Month!

Voyagers, get ready to build! Yuga Labs has announced that the Alpha version of its Otherside Development Kit (ODK), which users will use to create and craft their Otherdeeds, is coming next month!

Things are looking bright on the Otherside as Yuga Labs prepares to launch the Alpha version of its ODK, giving Voyagers their first look at what’s possible when the metaverse becomes a reality.

“Otherside Development Kit Alpha, run on ApeChain powered by @ApeCoin is coming August 2024,” Yuga Labs tweeted. “Special thanks to @RidazLp2, @bailey_tattoo, and @tropicalvirtual who have been working with us as the first three ODK pre-alpha builders to develop a first look to what Otherside community experiences can be. More to come on ODK alpha, including how to get early access to the tools, but in the meantime join the official ApeChain telegram and Otherside discord to discuss all things ODK.”

 

 

With the launch of the  ODK on the way, Yuga Labs CEO Garga said that the company plans to invite 20 more builders who have prior experience working with Unreal Engine to play with the Alpha ODK as the company steadily work towards making the ODK available to everyone around the swamp and $Ape ecosystem!

“Excited for how the ODK is coming together, and grateful for the thoughtfulness and creativity of our couple pre-alpha testers,” Yuga Labs CEO Garga wrote. “We'll be slowly ramping up more access throughout the alpha period, aiming to go from 3 to ~20 users/teams in August while we continue to pressure test and add features with our partners at Improbable. And then more from there. Slow, yes, but finally: steadily. Note: The best testers for these early stages are going to be folks already familiar with Unreal Engine. More info to come.”

 

At the time of this article’s publication, we do not know how Voyagers can apply to possibly ape into the Alpha ODK.
