ApeFest 2025 is shaping up to be a movie, the likes of which the swamp has never seen! But before the cameras roll, Bored Ape Yacht Club Member Cinema D is looking for frens to star in a prequel that he and his team are writing week by week over at FUD Friday. And everyone’s invited to ape in!

The Journey to ApeFest continues this weekend at FUD Friday, after the project invited Apes, and more, to answer the call and star in a series of upcoming renders all about ApeFest, alien abductions, and 3D modeled art!

“The Journey to ApeFest” is an immersive experience produced by @RooftopPic and presented by  @FUDFriday celebrating the lead up to the big night in Vegas,” Founder Cinema D tweeted. “Participants answered the call - they tapped in on Fridays and have been rewarded through renders commemorating milestones in the story. They are now the stars of the show..the few, the bold, THE ABDUCTED. “

This weekend, Cinema D opened the storyline up to the entire NFT ecosytem, not just BAYC holders. To join, all you have to do is reply: “I’m a Mfer who ALWAYS answers the phone!” on the post below:

“New Frens, your role will be different, less about renders, and more about influence over the outcome of the story,” Cinema D explained. “The fate of THE ABDUCTED is in your hands!!!! If you missed the ship, now is the time to answer the call. Along this Journey participation will be captured onchain thanks to our Frens at @OtherPageHQ via badges and mintable collectibles on ApeChain.”

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Cinema D and his FUD Friday ApeFest edits as we get closer to the BAYC’s flagship event later this year. Stay tuned for updates!
