APE IN: $Ape Is Now Tradable In Japan! Find Out what This Means For ApeCoin According To Yat Siu!
Things are anything but boring in Japan after the nation announced that $Ape would now be tradable in the Land of Rising Sun!
On Wednesday, Former ApeCoin DAO Special Council member Yat Siu shared a news article and informed the community that $Ape was now tradable in Japan!
“@apecoin incredible news for the entire $ape fam community,” Siu tweeted. “Proud to announce that $ape $imx $axs will be listed on @coincheckjp opening up the Japanese markets together with @Immutable& @AxieInfinity all part of the @animocabrands fam #NFTs#web3”
Following his post, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to Siu, who told the paper that in Japan, coins must receive approval from regulators before Japanese citizens can trade them, and that this approval process is not easy.
“Ape being now officially available in Japan initially through coincheck is a big deal in our opinion because it opens the Japanese market and more importantly means it has Japanese regulatory approval,” Siu said. “What some may not know only approved tokens may trade in Japan, one of the first metaverse tokens to have that in Japan was SAND some time ago. It also means that Japanese customers can now use APE to buy things like NFT such as legends of mara or wreck league and opens up the ape ecosystem to Japan and vice versa.”
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow $Ape and will let you know how $Ape’s approval in Japan impacts the DAO. Stay tuned for updates!
