Before the Bored Ape Yacht Club heads to South Carolina for ApeFest 2026, the team is making a nearly two week trip across Asia to connect with members in the region!

On Thursday, the BAYC announced that Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge, along with the company’s top Bored brass, will be visiting Shenzhen, Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, Hong Kong, Manila, and Singapore from September 25th through October 6th.

“This will be our opportunity to reach out to our worldwide club in person,” Figge said during this morning’s Meet at the Clubhouse Space. “A lot of people on the others side of the world won’t be able to make it to ApeFest. I think it’s important that they feel super connected, so meeting in person is a good way to do that.”

Since Figge stepped in as Yuga Labs CEO in April, he has made it a point to meet primates where they are,  with an extra focus on those outside the United States.

As the Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs teamed up with BAYC members VeraTheApe and BoredKiki to connect with Chinese and South Korean Apes during the club’s first Asia trip this summer. The company also joined regional social media platforms RedNote, Douyin, and Kakao and changed the time of its weekly Meet at the Clubhouse Space to better accommodate members around the world.

“This is a good follow up,” Figge said. “We are going to keep coming back! And for our frens in Europe, don’t feel left out. We are planning stuff too. But right now it’s really important for us to feel really connected with all the apes in Asia.”

At this time, we do not know what kind of events the club is planning for the Asian community over those 12 days, but we do know the BAYC will have a major presence in Seoul during Korea Blockchain Week.

“We are going to have a major focus in Seoul on this trip, it’s going to be be right during Korea blockchain week,” Figge said. “Iit will give us a strong focal point to deliver against and talk about our progress on BAYC, Otherside, ApeCoin, and ApeChain.”

The Gazette will continue to follow the BAYC’s upcoming Asia tour and will let you know when more details surrounding each stop are announced. Stay tuned for updates!
