APED IN: Beeple Buys His First Bored Ape Just In Time To Attend ApeFest At His Own Studio!

ApeFest 2026 is taking place at Beeple Studios in Charleston, South Carolina, this Saturday, so it's only fitting that the artist finally aped in to make sure he could get in!

Mutant Monday was insane, and frankly, a little weird, as longtime BAYC fren and legendary crypto artist Beeple officially joined the best club on the internet, purchasing Bored Ape #2388 for 11.88 ETH, or roughly $29,800 USD!

While Beeple may have just joined the BAYC tonight, he's been primate adjacent since the beginning, with a Bored Ape appearing in his May 31, 2021, artwork titled “MEEBITS VS. BAYC.”

 

 

Since then, he's featured Bored Apes in several of his works, befriended the club's founders, and was even one of the first guests on the now defunct “The Fvcking Metaverse” podcast with Gordon Goner and Garga!
