'APES COME HOME': Yuga Labs Invites The Bored Ape Yacht Club To A Day In The Swamp! Here's What We Know:

Bored Ape Yacht Club members are breaking on through to the Otherside this February for a day in the swamp following Yuga Labs’ call for Apes to come home!

Things were anything but boring on Tuesday, after the Yugaverse got its first Otherside update of the year, inviting the Apes to the swamp next month.

 

“Join us for a day in the swamp,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its Otherside account today along with a video featuring row after row of Bored Apes. “February 2024.”

Yuga Labs’ day in the swamp event will be the company’s first Otherside experience since its ApeFest 'DJs and Degens' event where club members got to explore the metaverse as their primates while fist bumping with frens!

 

Today’s update comes two months after Yuga Labs’ Otherside General Manager, Eric Reid, announced that all 10,000 Bored Apes were modeled and ready for the Metaverse at ApeFest, and teased that 2024 would be a busy year with Otherside updates for those inside and outside the Yuga Labs ecosystem.

 

“We’ve been listening, and we know that creators need a social and experiential platform to connect with audiences with collaborators and with friends,” Reid said to the ApeFest crowd on November 4th. “Everybody needs a better destination to discover things, to socialize and to flex across all kinds of different experiences. So after new year’s we are going to bring some more experiences to Otherside and we are going to bring them to the wider community, we’re going to enable social and we are going to enable Apes, Punks, Meebs, and the Grailed, and other people who are not part of the Yuga community to come in and build and create and share.”

At this time, we do not know when in February Apes will be invited to check out the swamp or what they will do once on the Otherside.
