AQUA ANNIHILATION: Aquamarine Backgrounders And Bitfizz Enjoyers Won Yuga Labs' First Ever Project Dragon Event!

From the West Side to Block Beach and every checkpoint in between, the Aquamarines obliterated the Orange Team’s forces and dragged deez nuts through the streets of Meetropolis on their way to winning the first-ever Project Dragon battle!

On Saturday, over a thousand Apes, Meebs, Voyagers, and more traveled to the Otherside world of Meetropolis to take part in Yuga Labs’ first-ever Project Dragon event. The event was a lot of fun, had a bit of jank, and featured a ton of squished oranges!

Unlike past Otherside Trips, Project Dragon was an action shooter game centered around a background color battle and a ‘Bitfizz’ showdown, similar to the cola wars of the 1980s. But instead of Coke vs. Pepsi, it was Aqua vs. Orange flavor. And this battle wasn’t fought with advertisements but with ass-blaster rifles!

Throughout the nearly hour-and-a-half-long event, the Orange and Aquamarine teams competed in domination-style matches where kill-death ratios did not matter. The only goal was to control all of Meetropolis!

 

In the end, the Aquamarines won four of today’s five contests, securing bragging rights until next month’s Meetropolis match-up!

Following the Aquamarines' win, BAYC member and Aqua backgrounder, LawoftheSaw, took to the timeline to check in on one of his orange opponents.  “Can someone pls do a wellness check on @HodlrCollective,”Law wrote.

After the event, Yuga Labs CEO Garga took to the timeline and thanked everyone for coming out while pledging his allegiance to Aqua!

The start of something beautiful imo. We're building this game in public, and we're doing it all with the ODK - the same toolset we're going to be making available to the community.
