ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FANTASY FOOTBALL?

On Tuesday, Web3's premier onchain fantasy football league, Spoiled Banana Society, officially kicked off its 2026 season on Base, inviting football fans and degens alike to draft their squads and compete for a piece of a guaranteed $100,000 prize pool!
As the Gazette previously reported, Spoiled Banana Society is a four year running onchain fantasy football competition created by Bored Ape Yacht Club members and real life brothers Boris and Richard Vagner.
SBS Fantasy Football is similar to the fantasy leagues millions of fans play on ESPN and Yahoo each year, but with one major twist. Instead of drafting individual players, participants draft 15 team position groups. That means injuries have less impact on a roster, and every team remains competitive because managers are selecting entire units rather than individual athletes.

This season is especially special for the Vagners and SBS as a whole, as the platform has moved from Ethereum mainnet to Base in an effort to create a better experience for players and make the game more accessible to fans both onchain and off.
With the move to Base, SBS players can expect consistent entry fees thanks to everything being priced in USDC, lower gas fees, predictable prize payouts, and best of all, more frens joining the action because players can now pay with a credit card or Apple Pay.
“Our product is the best and most fun way to play fantasy football, the way it was meant to be,” the Vagner’s said. “Banana Best Ball IV will be the best contest yet."
Drafts are now live, and football fans can enter this year's competition for just $25 USD. For more information, check out the game’s website here https://sbsfantasy.com
