BANG BANG: Yuga Labs CEO Garga Gave The Community Its First Look At The Weapons They Will Be Using During Project Dragon

Yuga Labs CEO Garga flashed some Glocks on the timeline today as he and the Yuga Labs team get ready for Apes, Meebits, and Voyagers to break on through to the Otherside for Project Dragon this July!

Things were anything but boring around the Bored Ape Yacht Club on Wednesday as Garga gave the community its first look at some of the weapons they will be using during Yuga Labs’ multiplayer metaverse melee action game, Project Dragon, later this summer.

 

“just want to kill everybody in Project Dragon,” Garga tweeted along with concept art for two Otherside weapons that were made by Yuga Labs’ gaming partner Bad Rhino.

 

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Project Dragon is a 12-part action gaming series that will take place once a month on Otherside over the next year, featuring three thousand plus person battles, mayhem, and some ‘jank.’

 

“Project Dragon launches in July, and it will be a massively multiplayer event with thousands of players competing across Meetropolis” Garga said during his Otherside Town Hall meeting last month. “There will be weapons. There will be mayhem. Frankly there will be a lot of jank because nobody has done action gameplay with three thousand plus people like this. It just doesn’t happen.”

 

At the time of this article’s publication, there is still much we do not know about Project Dragon, such as its storyline and game mechanics. However, we do know that Apes and Meebits will be able to play as their avatars, and that Garga and Gordon Goner worked together on the overarching Project Dragon storyline.

 

“Along with this just being crazy bonkers and fun, this is also an opportunity for us to tell a story,” Garga previously said. “Wylie (Gordon Goner) and I worked on with the team, a very long time ago at this point. So, we are super stoked.”
