BATHROOM BLITZ EVE: Command Line’s Game, Bathroom Blitz, Debuts On Otherside This Wednesday!

From out of order to open for business. It’s Bathroom Blitz Eve on the Otherside as Apes, the Web3 world, and gamers galore patiently await the launch of the platform’s first third party created game, Bathroom Blitz, a third person shooter built using Yuga Labs’ Otherside Development Kit!

Wednesday morning will be anything but boring around the swamp, as the restroom at the Bored Ape Yacht Club officially opens, and everyone is invited to ape in, shrink down, and duke it out with their frens in Command Line’s Bathroom Blitz!

“It's like the night before xmas morning - I can't wait to get everyone into the game,” Command Line Founder and BAYC member CryptoVonDoom told the Gazette. “The team and I are stoked to have this be the first persistent Otherside experience, it's a fun piece of Ape history (Apestory?). We've got some super fun stuff planning with Awards and Achievements that will lead into card packs for cosmetics / skins along with a few other surprises coming. Go live is 9am PT Wednesday, we'll see you MFers in the bathroom.”

Bathroom Blitz is an 8v8 team deathmatch style game inspired by a sketch from Yuga Labs Co-Founders Garga and Gordon Goner. The game was developed using Yuga Labs’ Otherside Development Kit, which are the same tools every Otherdeed holder will soon have access to.

 

 

After its launch tomorrow, Bathroom Blitz will remain open 24/7 for a two week season, and everyone is invited play and win rewards in the form of Loot Packs!

“Throughout the season, results from every participant will be collected from every match. At the end of the season, achievements and awards will be issued based on best and shittiest performances,” Command Line teased last night. “What’s this all building to? Loot packs baby. Rarity and number of packs distributed will depend on ranking, participation, and just a little bit of dumb luck. There will be previews of these rewards along the way, and rewards will be distributed shortly after the end of the season. Get ready to sit down & grind.”

 

 

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Bathroom Blitz is part of the first phase of Yuga Labs’ Otherside rollout and will serve as a proof of concept for the company’s vision of a user generated content driven metaverse, that Garga recently called a “Roblox killer powered by ApeCoin.”

 

“As we’ve been developing Otherside we’ve been focused on the ODK for people to build on the platform and ship,” Garga previously said. “We are strong believers that modding and UGC is the biggest unlock for gaming and that Web3 rails make a whole lot more sense than Web2 will ever be able to do.”
