"MONSTERS IN MY UNIVERSE": Hype’s Mimu Free Mint Expands The Otherside’s Story And Nearly All Of ApeChain Is Invited To Ape In!

There’s about to be a new monster in the metaverse as Bored Ape Yacht Club member and World of Tings founder Hype gets ready to drop one of the most anticipated free mints of the year with Mimu.
Since last summer, almost no one has spent more time on the Otherside than Hype. From the Swamp and the Nexus to Outbreak and Blitz, he’s been showing up and ape-ing in daily, co-hosting weekly Other Games, and putting together Mutant Mocktails mixers on Mondays, welcoming newcomers and helping lay the groundwork for this world and its culture.
Now, he’s taking it a step further with his soon to drop collection Mimu, which looks and feels like it belongs in the very world he’s helping to build. And he hopes it will expand the Otherside’s broader story!
“MIMU which stands for Monsters In My Universe is a collection of 5,555 characters born of the Nexus,” Hype said. “What inspired me to create MIMU was this idea of creating additional lore and IP around our existing ecosystem with World Of Tings. We have always wanted to be intentional when bringing on a new character. Being that our existing IP does not directly tie into Otherside from a visual aspect, it does allow us to indirectly bring in these MIMU's as sidekicks or companions to our main chapters which include Bubble Gun Gang (BGG).”
From the 2D art by Joubrel to the optional $3 USD rigged and ready characters by Ditto, the lore that pays homage to the Otherside’s biomes, the allowlisting of 70+ ApeChain communities, and the inclusion of 16 founders creating 1/1 MIMUs representing their projects, Hype is being intentional with every aspect of this free mint and he hopes everyone will give it a look this Monday at 11 A.M. EST.
