Apes, open up that Frens Chocolate bar, pop some popcorn, and get ready to sit back and enjoy the premiere of a new Bored Ape Yacht Club documentary tomorrow that apes into the insanity of the last NFT cycle while giving everyone who mints the onchain movie a chance to possibly win a Bored Ape of their own!

The NFT mania of 2021 and 2022 was insane, and I’m not just talking about the Mutants. Celebrities, Sotheby’s, and a seemingly endless wave of mints mooned 10X, 20X, even 100X. But amidst the thousands of collections, the Bored Ape Yacht Club blew up and this new documentary, aptly titled How the World Went Ape$h!t, hopes to explain what happened.

 

 

 

“The feature length documentary, How the World Went Ape$h!t, tells the story of the rise and fall of the NFT from the point of view of major players in the space, artists and media figures, as well as animated versions of the NFTs themselves,” Director Sharon Bordas told the Gazette. “Five lead apes from the iconic Bored Ape Yacht Club… tell the true stories that humans never could [or would] and narrate the joy, pain and ridiculousness of this unique moment in culture.”

 

 

For the film’s premiere, Bordas is teaming up with Stuff.IO to sell 10,000 commemorative onchain copies of the movie on Base for $99 USD each, and one lucky minter will win Bored Ape #7112!
