Out with the clutter, in with the club.

On Friday, the Bored Ape Yacht Club stripped its website back to BAYC-ics, rolling out a sleek, minimalist redesign that puts the spotlight back where it belongs, on the Apes.
The website puts the BAYC logo front and center, along with a few easy to understand links to things like the club’s apparel shop, a history of past activations, a landing page for BAYC’s soon to open clubhouse in Miami, and a new and improved members directory.
“New website rocks,” BAYC member Rui tweeted. “Simple, clean and a members profile! It show cases what they’ve done but still has that exclusivity feeling. I would definitely be Fomoing if I wasn’t there. Well done @BoredApeYC.”
Among the newly cleaned up pages, many primates say their favorite addition is the “Activations” section, which dates back to the club’s earliest days, when the only utility was drawing pixelated dicks on the Bathroom wall, all the way through ApeFest 2025.

Scrolling through the "ACTIVATIONS" section and seeing all the historical events got me feeling nostalgic,” Longtime member Gene tweeted. “This must have been so fun to put together!”
As the Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs CEO Garga first teased a website update back in February, saying he wanted to bring things back to the days of “dumb simple websites.”
“Worked on vibecoding a redesign of the BAYC site last night,” he tweeted on February 6th. “Miss the days of dumb-simple websites like a fuck-you level of minimalism, no scrolling old site was simple (http://og.boredapeyachtclub.com) current one (http://bayc.com) is ... way too much anyway - very work-in-progress.”
Over the years, the BAYC website has gone through its share of changes.
Back in 2021, the original site featured an animated introduction to the Bored Ape Yacht Club, a rebuke of bonding curve style NFT mints, the Bathroom wall, and the OG roadmap, with items like the founders paying back their moms and merch on the agenda. Simpler times.

Then in January 2024, the club launched a major update, filling the site with community resources, ecosystem information, and collectibles all wrapped in dive bar vibes.
