GOOD MORNING AND ZǍO SHÀNG HǍO: BAYC Is Officially On RedNote And Douyin In A Move To Meet Members Where They Are!

Good morning and “Zǎo shàng hǎo” from the swamp!

The Bored Ape Yacht Club is officially on China’s versions of TikTok and Instagram, RedNote and Douyin, in a move to meet members where they are!

 

“BAYC has always been global, and we’re continuing to build deeper connections across APAC with official RedNote and Douyin accounts,” the club tweeted last night. “More local content. More ways for the community to connect.”

 

 

Getting active on RedNote and Douyin could be huge for the BAYC because these platforms are massive. RedNote reportedly has around 350 million monthly active users, while Douyin boasts nearly a billion, putting them among the largest social media platforms in the world alongside X and Instagram.

“If you’re really thinking about growing the global community in a durable way we need to show up in the native channels where other channels are participating,” Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge said during yesterday’s Meet at the Clubhouse space. “We got to go international if we are going to drive demand.”

 

To help Yuga Labs navigate these new waters, the Club has enlisted the help of Bored Chili founder and longtime BAYC member VeraTheApe.
