Another day, another clue. Sort of.
Sunday's ApeFest clue was bored and blank after the Bored Ape Yacht Club shared another rustic red post that offered no obvious hints, leaving primates everywhere more perplexed about the recent clues and the club's new red Ape skull profile picture than ever before.
“ApeFest speculation group chats in shambles,” BAYC member Siw0.Eth tweeted.
As the Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs has now released four ApeFest teasers in four days: "1017" on Thursday, "USA" on Friday, "COLLECTORS COLLECT" on Saturday, and Sunday's seemingly blank clue. Along the way, the club also changed its profile photo from its classic Ape skull logo to a red version.
“Maybe the most puzzling puzzle piece yet,” Coffee With Captain and BAYC Member Chris Jourdan tweeted this afternoon. “The “red” seemingly an important piece to the puzzle after this and the pfp change WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!
Tonight, nothing about ApeFest 2026 has been confirmed. However, many primates believe the past several days of clues are pointing to this year's flagship event taking place somewhere in the USA where "collectors collect" on October 17, with the leading theories around the swamp being Miami or Beeple's studio in South Carolina.
But again, this is all just speculation, and your guess is as good as mine, or anyone else's.
While Apes continue reading the tea leaves, Yuga Labs says answers may be coming sooner rather than later.
On Thursday, Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge stopped by the club's Meet at the Clubhouse Space and told listeners that he and the team will be releasing the most thorough ApeFest document ever because, as he put it, ‘people need to know when that is and where that is.’
“There have been a lot of people in my replies and my DMs telling me about this event around the world where Apes are going to meet in one location,” he said in a facetious tone. “This is what people like to do. But I’m new to this. Ive only been CEO for a couple months, people need to explain to me how to communicate in Web3, im just learning , im new at this. The BAYC team, I told them there’s this meeting of Apes around the world in one location and people need to know when that is and where that is.And they all looked at my and went, oh that’s right. People do need to know that.”
Figge went on to say that he and the team will soon answer everyone's questions surrounding ApeFest and that the announcement will be extremely thorough.
“Its going to be so comprehensive that we won’t event need to talk about it,” he said. And that will be that.”
The Gazette will continue to follow all things ApeFest 2026 and will let you know when the next clue drops and what it might mean. Stay tuned for updates!
