Wing Wednesday may soon be coming to the swamp after Yuga Labs CEO Garga teased buying Hooters on X!

On Saturday, The timeline was hungry for conversations about the Bored Ape Yacht Club’s marketing, and social media presence, with notable Apes and Web3 builders like JBond, HeadOfApe, and Sergito chiming in regarding Apes’ lack of mindshare.

Amidst the posts and comments, Garga teased that he’s more interested in winging it, replying that the company may put in some “stink bids” on Hooters, the now bankrupt wing chain famous for its chicken and breasts.

“So how much do we think, realistically, Hooters is for sale for,” he tweeted before replying to another post about Yuga Labs’ marketing with “thought about it all day. Like most Twitter storms: what people say they want and what they actually want are often not the same thing. Came to the conclusion that though they may say they want gif views what they actually want is for me to buy Hooters.”

According to a recent TODAY article, Hooters has been closing down locations worldwide ever since the company filed for bankruptcy on March 31, 2025. As of June, 305 Hooters locations remained open.

Tonight, it’s unclear how serious or realistic Garga’s posts about buying Hooters are, but he tweeted again about putting in an offer. So we will have to wait and see!
