"BORED APE YACHT CLUB": BAYC Copy Pasta Takes Over Twitter This Weekend!
The vibes were high at Bored Ape Yacht Club as a new copy pasta took social media by storm thanks to this longtime Bored Ape!
If you went on Twitter this weekend, you probably saw “Bored Ape Yacht Club” and “Yes” all over your timeline.
Nearly every Bored Ape and BAYC inspired project aped into the viral trend!
Even the BAYC itself aped into the copy pasta!
"MOM DON'T BOTHER ME WE ARE DOING A APE THING," BAYC member ChefDisco tweeted at the height of the trend last night!
All these posts and good vibes were kicked off by longtime BAYC member and BAYC Council member, 0xWave, according to multiple sources.
At 10:00 P.M. EST on Saturday, 0xWave took to Twitter and simply tweeted “Bored Ape Yacht Club.” This post was the first of now thousands of “Bored Ape Yacht Club” tweets shared this weekend.
The Bored Ape Gazette reached out to 0xWave for comment on his copy pasta but did not immediately hear back from him.
While the Gazette did not interview 0xWave about his post, we do know that he’s loving the vibes.
"Timeline vibing so hard, 0xWave tweeted. "I'm going back to my OG ape PFP, goodbye for a while blue checkmark."
“Bored Ape Yacht Club” isn’t the first copy pasta that 0xWave has spread on Twitter. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, 0xWave also made at thirty-seven word viral copy pasta in October 2022 that lead to a ton of Ape Follow Ape posts!
“If you’re a Bored Ape or a Mutant Ape and I’m not already following you, comment or DM so I can remedy that (just need proof, easiest way is for your OpenSea to link to your twitter)”
Following 0xWave’s first viral copy pasta, the notable primate commented on the impact of copy pasta on social media.
“Copypasta on twitter is more powerful than copypasta on discord,” 0xWave tweeted this evening.
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow this trend and will keep you up to date on the latest Ape things! Stay tuned for updates!
