Spoiled Banana Society's 2024 On-Chain Fantasy Football Season Has Begun! Here’s How You Can Draft Your Team!

Are you ready for some fantasy football?!?!

Kickoff for the NFL’s 2024 season is just six and a half weeks away, but the time for Apes and Web3 enthusiasts to draft their squads and sign up for another year of the Spoiled Banana Society’s on-chain fantasy football Best Ball tournament is now!

Over the weekend, Bored Ape Yacht Club members and real-life brothers Boris and Richard Vagner invited their Web3 friends to ape into another year of on-chain fantasy football fun.

"Banana Best Ball II is officially live," they tweeted.

By minting a Best Ball team for .01 Eth, participants can draft their own team and possibly win a  grand prize of at least $10,000 USD and etch their names on-chain as a Spoiled Banana Society champion!

Spoiled Banana Society's Best Ball tourney is similar to the fantasy football contests that many around the swamp have participated in, where users draft their favorite players. But it also features some on-chain elements that make winning lineups more valuable as the season progresses.

 

“You draft your squad, and it becomes an NFT that you can sell throughout the season,” Boris expalined . “It’s a best ball specific contest so you just draft and don’t worry about in season management no waivers ect. We score the highest pts for you weekly.”

 

At the time of this article’s publication, 197 Draft tokens have been minted by 83 different players, according to Etherscan.

 

The deadline for Apes and non-Apes to sign up for this season of the Spoiled Banana Society’s Best Ball tournament is Thursday, September 5th, right before kickoff in Kansas City when the defending champion Chiefs face off against the Baltimore Ravens.
