Bored Ape Yacht Club Member Steph Curry Thanks Fans For Their Support After Historic Night
Bored Ape Yacht Club member Steph Curry broke the career three point record last night and took to Twitter to thank his fans this afternoon.
“Yo, I just want to say thank yall so much for the support, the love, the energy for last night. I woke up feeling really special this morning. I can’t thank yall enough for just being there for this whole journey. I know we got a lot more to do, but I got to take a second and just appreciate what 2974 means. History was made last night.”
Curry and the Golden State Warriors faced off against the New York Knicks Tuesday evening. Curry went into the game only needing to score two more three pointers in order to pass NBA great Ray Allen as the league's all-time three point scorer.
Curry broke the record during the first quarter of the game.
Curry ended the night with 22 points and five three pointers; extending his career three pointer total to 2,977.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Curry joined the BAYC on August 28th, posting a selfie in the group discord at 3:15 a.m. EST.
Curry’s ape, Bored Ape #7990, is a five trait blue fur ape with zombie eyes wearing a tweed suit. Curry paid 55 Eth or roughly $181,000 USD for his ape. Since purchasing Bored Ape #7990, Curry has used the primate as his profile photo on Twitter.
Since entering the BAYC in August, Curry has also used an M2 Serum to create the M2 mutant version of his ape and purchased a Cheetah fur Bored Ape Kennel Club Dog.
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Curry and all of the club’s athletes.
