This Bored Ape Yacht Club member became the first member of the club too ever win a super bowl last night.
BAYC member and NFL Linbacker, Von Miller, and his team the LA Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals last night in Super Bowl LVI 23-20.
Miller played a big part in the Rams victory yesterday evening making two sacks and two tackles holding the high-powered Bengals offense in check.
Following the game, Miller explained how much this victory meant to him and who he played for Sunday night.
"I don't think I've ever played for more in my career,” Miller said in an interview posted by Troy Renck. “I was playing for D.T.; he passed away suddenly in December. I was playing for my son; he was born in August. I was playing for [sports psychologist] Trevor Moawad; he passed away after the very first game of the season. Playing for all of my teammates here—so many hard-working, so many talented guys, so many guys on my team that were deserving of this moment—and it feels good to give it to them. It feels good to give it to Aaron Donald, Andrew Whitworth, Jalen Ramsey, all of these guys that have been working their whole careers to get to this point."
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Miller joined the BAYC on August 10th, 2020 purchasing Bored Ape #4733.“I APED IN!!! #BAYC #NEWPROFILEPIC,” Miller tweeted at the time.
Millers bored ape, Bored Ape #4733, is a seven-trait white fur ape with a cowboy hat, biker vest and robot eyes. Miller Purchased Bored Ape #4733 for 25 Eth, according to Opensea data. Miller Also holds Bored Ape #1432, which was transferred to him by fellow NFL player and Bored Ape, Dez Bryant. Bored Ape #1432 is a six-trait brown fur ape with a puffy vest and army hat.
