Bored Ape Yacht Club Members Artman And OhhShiny Make Another Deal Involving A Blue Beams Ape

These notable Bored Ape Yacht Club members made a laser focused deal on a blue beam’s ape earlier today.

BAYC members Artman and OhhShiny made a deal that ended with the popular NFT talk show host owning a new blue beams ape.

“Once a blue beams, always a blue beams,” OhhShiny tweeted along with a photo of his new ape. “Ape #8436 is home (home emoji).”

Bored Ape #8436 is six trait noise fur ape with a beanie and blue beams eyes. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #8436 is the 230th most rare ape, according to Rarity Tools.

“It is usually the case that the rarest traits in PFP projects are the loudest, but Ape 8436 is unique in that it is extremely rare (blue beam eyes + noise fur) while also feeling crisp and restrained,” OhhShiny told the Bored Ape Gazette. “It is an ape worth framing and I am lucky to own it. Thanks to Artman for coming to an agreement with me.”

Following the deal, the Bored Ape Gazette asked OhhShiny what he traded Artman for the impressive ape. While OhhShiny declined to disclose the specific sum, he did say that it was valued “north of 400 Eth” in his opinion.

This is not the first deal that Artman and OhhShiny have made a deal involving a blue beam ape.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Artman andOhhShiny made waves at the BAYC January 5th as the pair traded a blue beam’s bored ape for a lot of Eth plus a treasure trove of art by notable crypto artist Beeple and Fewocious.

In the trade, Artman received Bored Ape #2488 and the primates corresponding M1 and M2 Mutant apes. Bored Ape #2488 is a five-trait trippy fur ape rocking a Hawaiian shirt with blue beam eyes. Based on these traits, Bored Ape 47th most rare ape, according to Rarity Tools.

As Artman received Bored Ape #2488, OhhShiny received 425 Eth or $1,615,000 USD along with some amazing works of crypto art, including Beeple’s famous GigaChad.

“From the beginning, I knew this deal was going to be something special when @ARTMAN141 asked me if I was interested in art,” OhhShiny tweeted after the trade in January. “As some of you know, I'd spent a career in art before NFTs. Yes, I am interested in art! I love art, but what art could he own as special as my ape?!... It turns out, @ARTMAN141has a legendary collection. A collection that would be very hard to quantify in value. Filled with unique and editioned works by the best artists in the space. So, we began trading possibilities back and forth over what arrangement could possibly be made. In the end, we settled on a small treasure of @beeple's and @fewocious+ eth in exchange for what may be the most unique combo of traits in all of BAYC. I feel honored to have taken part in this and wish @ARTMAN141enjoys his collection in good health as I will with mine.”
