From the Bored Ape Yacht Club to the boardwalk! Apes will soon be looking Bored at the beach as the Club teased its second ever Anchor Drop.

On Wednesday, the Bored Ape Yacht Club announced that it was teaming up with renowned streetwear designer and Round Two co-founder Sean Wotherspoon for a new collaboration that blends the swamp with the shore!

“Anchor Drops are our way of pulling artists and designers we respect into the world we're building, where the work takes shape through the lens of the Club,” the C wrote. “Sean went into his archives for this one. Decades of collecting, hunting, and living inside vintage and surf culture distilled into a collaboration that sits exactly where his world and ours overlap. That intersection is specific. Surf meets Yacht Club, filtered through a vintage sensibility.”

The BAYC x Sean Wotherspoon Anchor Drop will feature a "compressed tee" inspired by both surf culture and the best club on the internet.

“Palm trees, sailboats, surfboards, the BAYC skull, and Sean's signature sit together in a composition framed by a triangle on the back of the tee. On the front, the BAYC skull rides a wave with Sean's signature in blue.”

Alongside the new tee, the Anchor Drop will also feature several vintage grails that Wotherspoon has collected and thrifted over the years.

As the Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs kicked off its Anchor Drops, a new series of limited edition, members only collaborations between the Club and artists, last month with a collection featuring Philadelphia based artist King Saladeen.

Tonight, we do not know when the BAYC XSean Wotherspoon Anchor collection will drop. But we do that thisinitiative is part of its broader vision of putting the "Yacht Club" back into the Bored Ape Yacht Club through more intentional design, aesthetics, and storytelling.

“We’ve also been thinking about what it actually means to be a Yacht Club - not just the name, but the feeling behind it,” the BAYC tweeted in April. “That’s starting to take shape. From here on out, you’ll see it show up more clearly in our apparel, our collaborations, and an aesthetic that finally does the Yacht Club name justice.”

The Gazette will continue following the BAYC's Anchor Drops and will let you know when and how you can ape in. Stay tuned for updates!
