The Bored Ape Yacht Club’s Taiwan chapter held an in real life get together earlier this month and things were anything but boring as the typically Bored Apes excitedly met their online frens!
On July 15th, 15 BAYC members gathered in a Taichung City Highrise across from the National Taichung Theater for an in person meetup sponsored by BendDAO where they learned about $Ape staking and met the people behind the PFPs!
“They rarely have the chance to meet privately, so this private gathering provided an excellent opportunity for everyone to engage and share experiences,” BAYC member Bingo who helped put on the event told the Gazette. “During this meeting, we learned that there are members of the Ape community who became a couple due to their shared interest in web3. We also had the chance to meet unfamiliar faces from the web3 fam and were introduced to new social utility NFT projects. Some of the members have been part of the Ape community since May 2021, others since June, and some new MAYC members also participated in this offline event. Everyone exchanged their web2 identities and web2/web3 resources, coming together to share insights during the NFT bear market.”
As Apes got to know one another, the Chinese Ape Club, a community of Chinese speaking BAYC& MAYC holders, gave everyone who attended this get together a souvenir to commemorate a boring event!
