Beep. Boop. Bought! HV-MTL owner and real life recycler Adam Weitsman is earning his metal onchain after adding another rare robotic NFT to his growing collection.

Late last night, Weitsman took to the timeline to announce that he had purchased a one of one Rare Robots VeeFriends NFT for around 12 ETH, or roughly $37,000 USD.

“Always wanted to support  @garyvee and  @veefriends,” he said. “On top of Gary being a true and trusted friend, he’s a person that inspired me to get involved in this amazing space. Happy to add this 1/1 Robot to the collection. Excited to see what this legendary team comes up with next !!!!!”

Following Weitsman’s pickup, VeeFriends holders welcomed him into the community, while Gary Vee congratulated him on adding such a strong character to his collection.

“Top 5 character 1 of 1,” he said.  “The 1 of 1’s are heating up in our world VeeFriends.”

Last night’s robotic buy marked the second major move Weitsman made on Monday. Earlier that day, the notable NFT collector also purchased the one of one Good Vibes Club “Vibefoot” for 50.25 ETH, or roughly $156,000 USD.

As the Gazette has previously reported, Weitsman has been especially active around the swamp and across the broader Web3 world in recent months. During that time, he struck a major deal with Yuga Labs to become the Otherside’s largest landowner, acquired the HV-MTL collection from Faraway Gaming Studios, took over the CryptoDickButts project, became one of the largest ApeCoin holders in the world, purchased hundreds of Meebits, and continued adding NFTs from a wide range of projects, all to support real builders across Web3.

Together, these moves reflect Weitsman’s desire to be a “beacon of hope” in the space and help make Otherside a place that inspires the next generation.

“I’ve got some ideas about kids playing this all over the world,” he told NowMedia’s Matt Medved in August. “This is a tough world. A place that kids can dream in. They can dream that this is their house and this is their land…“I’d love to be able to have an advisor for every 30 Otherdeeds” who would teach them how to build. Teach them how to trade. Teach them how to barter.”

The Gazette will continue to follow Weitsman and will keep you updated on what he does next around the swamp and beyond. Stay tuned for updates!
