Apes and voyagers, can you dig it?
On Wednesday, Yuga Labs CEO Garga took to the Otherside Discord and dropped some new information about Otherdeed resources, teasing that landowners will becollecting them soon and that there’s a bigger in-game economy for resoruces as well.

"There's always gotta be a good RNG element to make the game fun, but it should be a fairly automated process that requires some intervention and maintenance," Garga wrote when asked about resoruces. "Lotsa Otherside folks who can't dedicate 24/7 but want to participate in the experience... Resource gathering mostly a solo affair, but the game economy of what you do with them is multiplayer."

Even though Garga didn’t dive too deep into resources yesterday, his confirmation that Deed holders will eventually collect and trade them is a major update.
While we just learned that resources will be gathered and used in the broader Otherside world, holders will likely have to wait until at least the end of the year before they can start farming their digital crops.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the first iteration of an always on Otherside is expected to launch later this month or early next with the debut of Bathroom Blitz, a game by BAYC member CryptoVonDoom and his Command Line team.

From there, Garga has said Yuga Labs will continue rolling out new experiences every few weeks, eventually bringing the persistent worlds of the Koda’s Nexus, the BAYC Swamp, and the Meebits’ city of Meetropolis online.
