Forget Cupid! Pax and Polly stole the spotlight this Valentine’s Day as the Pudgy Penguins brought their brand of Web3 wuv to New York City.
Love has been in the Big Apple this week as crypto’s cutest brand waddled into the NYC and hosted a three day Valentine’s pop up, welcoming fans and curious passersby alike to celebrate with the internet’s favorite flightless couple.
The line was long and the Pop up was packed with dateless degens, collectors, couples, and first time visitors, all checking out the Penguins’ Valentine’s merchandise, including a plushie bouquet and a “You Make Me Melt” selfie mirror.
“Stop scrolling and take a look at this image, specifically text on it,” Pugdy Penguin Becca NFTs tweeted from the shop. “Pudgy Penguins, the brand that's positioned to own Valentine's Day.”
This IRL activation is part of Pudgy Penguins’ broader push to expand beyond Web3 and “own the winter months” through seasonal branding and real world experiences.
As the Gazette previously reported, since December the Penguins have partnered with the NHL, collaborated with Manchester City, and even appeared on the Las Vegas Sphere.
