CLAIM YOUR NAME: Voyagers Can Now Get Their Otherside Usernames And Set Up Their Accounts! Here's How:
As Bored Ape Yacht Club members and the broader Yugaverse get ready to ape into the Otherside for the first time in almost year, Yuga Labs is inviting Voyagers to claim their metaverse names!
On Wednesday, Yuga Labs announce that its highly anticipated ‘Apes Come Home’ event will be happening on February 29th throughout the day and that Voyagers and Web3 enthusiasts can now make an account, claim their usernames, and connect their wallets starting today!
"What’s the big deal about that? Well, it actually is pretty awesome,"Yuga Labs Otherside General Manager Eric Reid explained in a blog post. "It means that you can now set up a single Otherside account and identity, with access to your NFTs and wallets, and that account will be persistent across everything you do on Otherside, including earning badges, loot, social influence, and so much more. It means you’ll be able to play in environments and use avatars which are AAA game quality - unlike any of the stuff that exists in other metaverses today. And it means in time you will be able to play anytime, anywhere, and with thousands of friends across the world. So, yeah, it is a big deal in just a few short months."
To get your Otherside Username, Apes, Voyagers and Web3 enthusiast can go to http://launch.otherside.xyz, set up an account, and pick out their names!
Every Ape, Voayger, and Yuga Labs holder who plans on attending Apes Come Home next week will need to set this up, according to the company.
“To join ACH, users will need to create an Otherside account using an email address and password,” Yuga Labs wrote. “A wallet must be connected to this account (can be through Warm.xyz wallet delegation) to verify NFT ownership as admission to the event. Your Otherside account will be your hub for accessing events and your name will be your identity in Otherside moving forward. Your display name should match your account name, and will be displayed while you’re in an Otherside event.”
The Bored Ape Gazette is working to bring you additional coverage of Yuga Labs’ upcoming Apes Come Home event. Stay tuned for updates!
