"CLEAR EYES, FULL HEARTS, OTHERSIDE": Escapation And TropicalVirtual Officially Join The Otherside Team, According To Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge

On Thursday, Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge announced that longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club members and prolific builders Escapation and TropicalVirtual would officially be joining the Otherside team.

If you've spent any time around the swamp or metaverse over the last few years, you've probably run into both Escapation and TropicalVirtual.

 

Escapation, also known as Directive Creator, has been experimenting with Otherside's Metaverse Markup Language and learning the ins and outs of the technology since June 2023.

 

 

Previously, Escapation worked at Improbable as a Directive Creator and has also contributed to projects including 10KTF and Edison Games.

 

I've asked  @Escapation to join the Otherside team to work on AI development,” Figge said. “There’s so much potential for innovation and we want Otherside on the forefront of that narrative.”

 

As for TropicalVirtual, many community members know him from his Render Pool Bubble Spaces and ApeCoin's Vibe Coding Camp, where he's spent countless hours helping builders around the swamp and beyond learn new skills and create onchain experiences.

 

“I've asked @tropicalvirtual to join the Otherside team to help as an official ODK ambassador,” Figge said. “If you know Otherside, you know Tropical shows up for the ODK community. Stoked to back him in an official capacity.”

 

Both Escapation and TropicalVirtual are slated to officially begin their new roles on Monday, marking the latest example of community members turning years of work into jobs around the swamp!
