The truth is out there.
From Solana to Dogecoin, NFTs exist far beyond Ethereum Mainnet, and crypto's most prolific collector, Adam Weitsman, just made first contact, acquiring an out of this world Ordinal.

On Tuesday, Weitsman purchased NodeMonke #8806 for 0.45 BTC, or approximately $28,500 USD, marking what appears to be his first ever Bitcoin Ordinal pick up!

“Really excited to have just acquired @Nodemonkes Alien #8806 from OG collector @crownjewel369 to show my support to the Ordinals community,” he tweeted. “Special shout out to @lifofifo and the @ord_net platform, as the buying experience was very smooth for my first time buying a Bitcoin NFT !”
The purchase wasn't just any NodeMonke. #8806 is a an Alien type, making it one of the project’s rarer pieces and a fitting first contact for one of the NFT space's biggest art collectors.

Weitsman's first Ordinal purchase comes just a day after the notable collector publicly called on OpenSea to support Bitcoin Ordinals, a sector that has had a tough year since Magic Eden shut down its Bitcoin marketplace in March 2026.
Following Weitsman's acquisition, Ordinal collectors took to the timeline to congratulate him on the crosschain pickup and remind everyone that Ordinals are inscribed directly onto the Sats and can never be removed from the blockchain!
“but ordinals are dead ??? nope ordinals are forever,” JoeKing tweeted. “Are you paying attention yet been stacking my ordinals bag since this free prices. some call me crazy but my believe in ordinals will never not be bullish its bitcoin its simple collectors collect and adam is one of the biggest collectors in this space. send nodes.”
Tonight, the floor price for NodeMonkes sits at roughly 0.03 BTC, or about $2,200 USD.
