“COLLECTORS COLLECT”: Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge Purchases A Rare Quirkies NFT To Support Papii’s Grind!

From bored to beaming, and builder to builder, Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge just bought an aesthetic extraterrestrial to show support for one of the hardest working guys in all of Web3!

On Sunday, Figge was feeling quirky and purchased Quirkie #291 for 1.69 ETH, or roughly $3,500 USD, sending vibes to the moon across the timeline!

“How more bullish can I get,” Qurikies Owner Papii tweeted.  “Pick up my phone and my friend since 2022, who happens to be CEO of Yuga, grabs this absolute GRAIL. In Figge we trust.”

 

 

After the purchase, Figge took to the timeline and explained that he simply wanted to support his friend, who has been grinding every day for the Quirkies community since acquiring the project by selling his hoodie-wearing CryptoPunk on September 1, 2025.

“People don't know how hard you grind amigo,” Figge said. “i kept notes on everyone through the cycles and you're the real deal was happy to cop collectors collect.”

 

Tonight’s Quirkies purchase is the first NFT that Figge has bought from his public wallet since stepping in as CEO of Yuga Labs. Last month.
