Collectors collect, traders flip, and founders bet on themselves because “culture is built, not bought.”
On Wednesday, two of the NFT space's most notable founders traded J-Pegs from their respective ecosystems in a deal that saw Normies founder Serc acquire his first Legendary Canvas from his own collection.
“Excited to welcome our first Legendary canvas to my collection! When i saw Chris in our chat, looking for selling his legendary canvas I just offered half of my GVC NFTs for this trade,” Serc said. “This sale marks the highest sale of Normies collection: 16.96 ETH. I am proud artist and founder of this movement. This is how we build.”
As Serc added a grail from his ecosystem to his collection, so too did Guyot, who traded away his 2D pixels for 35 3D-modeled Citizens of Vibestown.

“An epic deal just went down for two great communities,” Guyot tweeted. “Incredibly stoked to trade the first Normie 1/1 Legendary Canvas to the homie @serc1n today to acquire 35 additional GVCs. With the release of the rewards program info yesterday, we're incredibly excited for the future of GVC. Wishing the Normies nothing but the best, very pumped that the legendary canvas has found such a great home!”
After the swap, Serc burned the 1/1 GVC inspired Normie into Normie #9993, permanently removing the once one of one piece from the collection forever.
Serc then changed the pixels to read, “Culture is built, not bought,” and announced plans to invite a legendary artist to reimagine the canvas soon.
“We name it “legendary” canvas for a reason,” he said. “It was good three months with Craig, but now he is available only in graveyard: https://normie-3d.vercel.app/graveyard.”
