Over the last week, Web3 digital artist Modest’s new collection, “Death and Taxes- Citizens,” an onchain survival game where holders pay a weekly “tax” to stay alive in hopes of being one of the last 69 citizens remaining to win the project’s treasury, has taken over the timeline and is now making headlines for some big sales.

 

 

On Friday, Bored Ape Yacht Club member and CryptoPunks holder, wallet 0xa3658a013c223fa60989f057a3d0a1153f88b0c2, who is likely GPebbles.Eth based on Etherscan data, purchased Citizen #99, a wealthy Monkee NFT that bears a striking resemblance to a Bored Ape and is one of the rarest citizens in the collection for the highest amount paid for any Citizen yet, 1.5 Eth.
