DELIVERED: Amazon’s Otherside Avatar Boximus Sold Out And Shipped To The Metaverse!

The Porch at the Bored Ape Yacht Club is packed with Prime packages after Amazon dropped and delivered its first metaverse digital collectible, Boximus, on Otherside!

History was made around the swamp and beyond on Thursday after Amazon Gaming dropped 2,222 new Amazon inspired Otherside Voyager robots made entirely from the brand’s iconic boxes. The collection sold out fast. So fast, in fact, that it triggered the online retailer’s anti-bot and theft mechanisms because so many people aped in at once!

 

“Nobody is going to want to buy an Otherside x Amazon NFT” Reality: demand was so high that all of Amazon’s fraud/bot protection measures kicked in,” Yuga Labs CEO Garga tweeted seemingly mocking those who laughed at this collab earlier this week. “Amazon made me go back and set a new password after buying just 1. They are on this 100% with their tech+fraud teams, Amazon are (king emoji) partners. THANK YOU FOR BEARING WITH US We like the box.”

 

 

Following the mint and sellout, Yuga Labs surprised Boximus minters by making the avatar a playable character tonight.

 

Since then, Apes, Voyagers, and Amazon maxis have been taking to Otherside as Boximus and filling the timeline with this boxy bot!
