DIVE IN: Gamers In The Philippines Are In The Sewers Below The BAYC Dookey Dashing During Yuga Labs' First Tech Test!

The sewers below the Bored Ape Yacht Club are swamped as gamers in the Philippines ape into the pipes for Dookey Dash Unclogged's first-ever Tech Test!

It's game on for Filipino gamers after Yuga Labs announced that the Philippines region was invited to download the highly anticipated endless runner game and reenter the sewers for Dookey Dash Unclogged's Tech Test yesterday!

“I woke up and I saw our baykada group chat popping off along with the mentions of @baykada and myself on X,” BAY Kada Founder JBond told the Gazette. “Turns out it’s because Dookey Dash: Unclogged is now available in the Philippines, and mind you, only in the Philippines for now. Wow. I’m still in shock. But when I thought about it, it’s really not as shocking. Philippines has been the hub of web3 gaming since Axie Infinity. Philippines has also been instrumental in major social media global expansions like that of Facebook’s. I think going in the Philippines first could be a great move for Yuga and Faraway.”

Following the announcement, JBond took to Twitter and encouraged Apes, Degens, and Normies in the Philippines to download the game and dive into the sewers!

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs is doing these tech tests to make sure that Dookey Dash Unclogged is ready for the masses later this year.

“Our aim is to get Yuga and DDU into millions of pockets, and for that to happen we need the game as battle tested as possible before opening the game up globally,” Yuga Labs Co-Founder and CEO Garga tweeted just before yesterday’s announcement. “Doing a soft release in limited regions like this is key to a successful worldwide rollout. Can't wait to see how many bugs @baykada smashes over the week. More regions as well as the full launch coming soon. And if your region isn't included, don't fret: Season 1 and other special aspects of the game can't be enjoyed until the global launch anyway.”

Going forward, Yuga Labs plans to open Dookey Dash Unclogged to players in Canada, Australia, Germany, Singapore, Netherlands, UK, and France, followed by the game’s global launch by May 2024, according to the company.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Dookey Dash Unclogged and will keep you posted on everything happening in the sewers. Stay tuned for updates!
