The NFL season doesn’t start for another 11 weeks, but Web3’s premier onchain fantasy football league, Spoiled Banana Society, kicks off tomorrow and everyone can ape in!

On Tuesday, longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club members and real life brothers Boris and Richard Vagner’s popular Spoiled Banana Society officially begins its 2026 season, dubbed Banana Best Ball IV, inviting football fans to draft a team for $25 and compete for a guaranteed $100,000 prize pool on the digital gridiron.

 

As the Gazette previously reported, Spoiled Banana Society’s game is similar to the fantasy football everyone knows and loves, but instead of drafting individual players, users draft 15 team position groups. This means injuries are less impactful, and every roster remains competitive because players are selecting entire units rather than individual athletes.

 

This year will be an extra special season for the Vagners' as they move their popular game from Ethereum mainnet to Base in hopes of making it a better experience for players and more accessible to fans off chain.

 

 

With the move to Base, SBS players can expect consistent entry fees thanks to everything being priced in USDC, lower gas fees, predictable prize payouts, and  best of all, more frens joining the action because players can now pay with a credit card or Apple Pay.
