ELECTION 2022: See What Veratheape Had To Say After Winning A Seat On The Special Council

Earlier this week the ApeCoin DAO elected three new Special Council members to sit on the board in 2023.

The ApeCoin DAO’s first election season came to an end this week and the $Ape community elected BoredApeG, Veratheape, and Gerry to the DAO’s Special Council.

Following the election, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to the Special Council Elect member Veratheape for comment on her win and what’s next for her.

“Really appreciate the trust and support from community,” she said. “Ready to serve and learn.”

Veratheape, along with Gerry and BoredapeG, will begin their Special Council terms on January 1st, 2023, and they will remain on the board for one year.

Prior to her victory, the Bored Ape Gazette asked Veratheape what her top priority would be if elected. At the time, Veratheape told the Gazette expanding the ecosystem and improving the DAO’s structure were on the top of her list.

“The first thing I want to push is to expand the ecosystem by hosting hackathons and establishing partnerships,” she said. “Building the ecosystem is a long journey and it is the only way for a token to be sustainable. It took Ethereum 4 years to really build the ecosystem and I believe this goal is something that we should prioritize. There is transparency, DAO engagement, and rebranding issues I want to help solve but those can be solved along the way of building the ecosystem. Another important thing to me is DAO structure change. To remove single point failure from the DAO and be able to have a structure like DAO 2.0
