The ApeCoin DAO’s first round of Special Council voting ends tomorrow and the community is set to determine which five candidates will move on to the next round and officially become Special Council nominees.

After weeks of campaigning, the window for $Ape holders to vote in the first round of the 2022 Special Council elections closes tomorrow evening at 9 P.M. EST.

During this first round of voting, the ApeCoin DAO was tasked with selecting five candidates to move on the election's second round.

At the time of this article’s publication, the top five voting getting candidates are :

1. Veratheape with 2.9M votes

2. Degentraland with 2.4M votes

3. Lior.Eth with 2M votes

4. Gerry with 1.6M votes

5. BoredApeG with 1.6M votes

After the first round of voting closes tomorrow night, the top five candidates will move on to the next round of the election season that is set to begin on December 22nd.

During the second round of voting, the $Ape community will select which three nominees will be on the Special Council in 2023.
