ELECTION 2024: AllCityBAYC Is Running For Governance Working Group Steward.

After becoming one of the ApeCoin DAO’s first Governance Working Group Stewards last year and expanding the committee’s scope from being an overseer to being project managers running initiatives around the DAO like Ape U, the Delegate Accelerator program, and a new small grants proposal process, AllCityBAYC has thrown his hat back in the ring and is running for a second term in $Ape office!

Things are anything but boring in the $Ape ecosystem this week as ApeCoin DAO Contributors head to the polls to cast their coins and elect two Special Council members, two Governance Working Group Stewards, two Web3 Development Working Group Stewards, a Marketing and Communications Working Group Steward, and a Metaverse Working Group Steward to $Ape office!

As $Apes start to vote, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to AllCityBAYC to find out more about DAO Governance and why he's the right $Ape for the job. Check out the Gazette’s interview with AlliCityBAYC below:

1. In a sentence or two why should $Ape holders vote for you?

"My mission one year ago for my role at ApeCoin was to provide more value back to holders — and I’ve done that. I transformed a 5 line-item budget into AIP-317, and most recently AIP-408, where 52.5% of its total ask is going straight back into the ApeCoin ecosystem and another 23.5% is allocated toward training and education resources to strengthen our community."

2. What is ApeCoin DAO Governance?

"ApeCoin DAO governance is an evolving landscape. Currently, my primary focus is on providing training and education resources for AIP authors, as well as introducing far more transparency to the community through better reporting from our elected positions."

3. What is the biggest issue facing DAO Governance today and how do you plan to address it?

"I think that, instead of exclusively looking at what other DAOs are doing, we need to introduce more proven structures from traditional environments."

4. What is one tangible thing that you want to accomplish if elected?  How will it impact the DAO?

“I have two primary focuses at ApeCoin DAO in 2024: strengthening our community and providing more transparency. Tangible examples of these efforts include expanding our APE_U initiative with OpenCampus into a model that other DAOs can integrate into their ecosystems, and implementing a formal reporting system for Stewards.”

5. What are your thoughts on the Banana Bill? How would you support it as the DAO’s next Governance Working Group Steward?

"The Banana Bill is bold — but very necessary when considering everything that is at stake and the size of incentive pools that other blockchains are working with."

6. How do you plan to make ApeCoin fun?

" APE_U and small grant programs are both designed to encourage meaningful engagement in progressive ways. By targeting different areas of the ecosystem, we aim to enable the community to find newfound excitement from ApeCoin DAO.

7. Do you have anything else you’d like to add or say?

"The forward progress of ApeCoin DAO relies on the overarching execution of ApeChain, but with four Working Groups and eventually twelve Stewards the initiatives that these groups roll out will also be critical for our success — so don’t take chances with your vote."

ApeCoin DAO Contributors who would like to find out more about AllCityBAYC's campaign can reach out to him via Twitter @AllCityBAYC

The window to vote in the second and final round of the ApeCoin DAO’s summer election season is currently open and $Apes have until Wednesday, June 19th, at 9 P.M. EST to cast their coins.

The Bored Ape Gazette is working to bring you interviews with every candidate and will let you know who the DAO elects next week. Stay tuned for updates!
